What I hope to offer my students is an uplifting mind-body and spiritual experience. Aerial Yoga uses the support of a soft, silky and durable fabric to assist one to move more freely into various shapes and yoga poses with less effort by countering gravity. The benefits of Aerial yoga are enormous! No skills are required. Anyone can learn how to use an Aerial yoga hammock with the help of a trained Aerial instructor. Other benefits include:

A total body workout-muscles are more toned, redefined and joints are regenerated and strengthened. Increases flexibility, increases overall body strength and dramatically strengthens the core muscles, eases tension in the spinal cord and hip joint, reduces stress, improves blood pressure, increases muscle mass and decreases fat mass, zero impact-easy on joints, improves balance, improves digestion, improves memory, improves mood as it increases adrenaline, increases happy hormones-serotonin, endorphins, oxytocin, dopamine - boosts mood and increases energy, opens up space in the body, mind and heart, increases relaxation and so much more….We will begin class by connecting with our breath gently releasing the internal chatter of the mind. At this time the class will set their intentions. Then the fun, curiosity and wonder come into play! We always end class lying in Savasana, (a relaxation pose) cocooned in the hammock! You will leave feeling a sense of lightness and bliss! Prior to class, I make sure to adjust the hammocks to each student’s body size so they feel as comfortable as possible. So, PLEASE arrive 15 minutes early to make time for the proper fitting.
